Not Much New To Report

Because it might get kind of boring if I keep posting photos of missing chunks of wallpaper, I won’t make new posts every time little bits of it come down. But last night we got to probably the halfway point in the bigger living room (sitting room?). The walls are coming along pretty nicely, but the kitchen remains as it was on Monday. Still needs some wet sanding and another coat of joint compound. I need to get a level or a yard stick or maybe even a 2×4 to lay across it so I know when I’m level with the wall. I’ve been putting it off because I don’t want to mess it up to a point of disrepair, so I’m mentally preparing.

My coworker, Mark Allen, suggested this site (Polyvore) for assembling collages of color, art, furniture, etc. so that you can get an idea of what your house might look like. It’s pretty nice. I would like to see a site where you can take a picture of your room, draw in the perspective lines, and have it build 3D-ish models of the room and let you place things around it that are also drawn in three dimensions to get a feel of space and design. Mark Allen, want to get started building that?

Gretchen suggested we post the music we listen to while working on the house, which is a pretty good idea. So here it is!
