Our To-Do List

General

• Replace old, broken, and incorrectly installed lightswitches
• Convert all remaining 2 prong outlets to 3-prong outlets.
• Get wiring run to install new outlets
• Ditch septic system and connect to public sewer lines

Exterior

• Pressure wash porch
• Pressure wash siding
• Paint Shutters
• Paint Trim and porches

Yard

• Clean up leaves
• Add some lighting / fix broken porch lights
• Trim giant bushes in front of the porch
• Get a fire pit and some chairs to sit on out there. Maybe a hammock.
• Start a garden

Kitchen

• Clean the floor
• Remove wallpaper
• Patch rough spots in the wall
• Cover up doorway better and smooth it out
• Prime and paint the walls
• Install hardwood floors
• Design/install new cabinets (ideally shaker style)
• Get a Dishwasher

Living Room

• Remove wallpaper
• Paint
• Install front door lock
• Get new glass cut for Gretchen’s parent’s old coffee and side tables
• Unpack a little bit

Dining Room

• Remove wallpaper
• Prime
• Paint
• Furnish

Our Bedroom

• Remove wallpaper!
• Run Cable TV lines up there
• Get more lighting installed (either switch operable lamps or lighting fixtures)
• Redo inside of the closet
• Bleed air out of hot water heat pipes

Garage

• Turn off water and drain pipes to winterize the apartment
• Paint the exterior
• Clean out old junk left inside
